Biotechnology (Period 3)

Course Description

Biotechnology is an introductory course to the scientific concepts and laboratory research techniques currently used in the field of biotechnology. Students will develop lab skills, critical thinking, and communication skills currently used in the fields of microbiology, clinical chemistry, genetics, and biotechnology.

 

Through extensive reading, lab work, and workplace experiences students will gain workplace competency skills in the field of biotechnology and will be better prepared to make decisions about their academic and career options, as well as the issues impacting society.
